In the spiritual world, a lot of people try to ‘transcend.’ We want to ‘let go’ of all the emotions, desires, and pain body.
In this model you judge, punish, and fight against yourself…and this game gets projected onto the outer world as ‘good’ and ‘evil.’
In the more earthy spiritual traditions (indigenous tantra, shamanism), we don’t ‘let things go’ or ‘shake it off’ (sorry Taylor Swift) but we digest them.
This is deeper than what therapy can do, because it takes the stuff into our body and works it through the body. A feminine force of nature called shakti moves through our system and assimilates what we’ve mulled over in our head. Waste is discarded, and nutrients (lessons from the experience) are held in the body in a way that transmutes it into peace.
To get to this point I’ve had to ironically do a lot of…stopping. Stop performing. Stop traveling. Stop ‘leading.’ Stop producing. Stop chasing. Stop overfunctioning, stop image-managing.
Because only when we know stillness can we ever begin to drop into the body and learn its language.
This is priestess territory.
The priestess archetype is poetic, irrational, and centered in gnosis (knowledge coded in the body- this is true origin/ felt sense which has not been overlayed by intellect) She can hear what’s ‘under the words’ or ‘behind the veil.’
We are exploring her energy this month in MYTHOS. Come join us if you like.
